Our school commemorated the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, with immense respect, enthusiasm, and patriotic zeal.
The day commenced with a special assembly with the garlanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait by our respected Principal. A major highlight of the program was a special presentation by the tint-tots, where students dressed up beautifully as Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi. Wearing traditional khadi dhotis, spectacles, and simple cotton sarees, these young children walked across the stage holding walking sticks, bringing a glimpse of the iconic couple's simplicity alive for the audience.
Following the traditional tribute, the school choir delivered a soulful rendition of Bapu’s favourite bhajans, including "Vaishnav Jana To" and "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram," which filled the campus air with peace and solemnity. Illustrating the message of his famous three monkeys: "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil".
In alignment with Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy that "Cleanliness is next to Godliness," the school organized a Swachh Bharat Cleanliness Drive.
The event concluded with an inspiring address by the Principal. She urged the students to not just celebrate the day as a national festival, but to embody the principles of kindness, honesty, and mutual respect in their everyday actions.
